Business Continuity Plan - Coronavirus (COVID-19)

To our valued clients;

 

We hope you and your families are well during this unprecedented time and wanted to give you an update from Shapiro Insurance Group as we continue to monitor the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. Our top priority is to continue to be available to service your accounts while positioning our employees and working with our insurance carrier partners to be as safe and healthy as possible.

 

Here are some of the key changes we're making in support of those priorities:

  • Travel restriction: We've restricted all non-essential business travel until further notice.
  • Working remote: Most of our offices around the State of Florida will remain open, but we will have some of our associates working from home for at least the next two weeks. We recognize that not all positions can be performed remotely, so some of our employees will continue to work at our offices if at all possible. Reducing the density of associates on-site is an effort to minimize the likelihood of transmitting the virus. We may extend this process into April based on how this situation develops. Some of our customer service reps may have their children at home with them due to the circumstances, so please extend your patience if you hear our little ones in the background.
  • We have self-quarantine procedures in effect for employees who may have been exposed to someone with the virus, visited an impacted area, or exposed to someone who has been to an impacted area.
  • We ask that you refrain from any non-essential visits to our offices during this time. While we will have limited associates available in most of our office locations, this request is an additional effort to minimize the risk of transmitting the virus. The superior technology that we already have in place allows for a completely mobile and paperless transaction (including electronic signatures) in most situations. See below for multiple other resources available to you in lieu of an office visit.

 

Regardless of whether our teams are located in a physical office or working remotely, we are well equipped with the right talent, skills and technology to keep business running with minimal interuption.

1. Email Requests - your Client Care Team or Account Manager will typically respond by the end of the same business day. You can direct initial inquiries to info@insuresig.com if you do not have your account manager or client care team's email information.
