Is your child safe in the vehicle?
September 12, 2013
Is the seat in right? Are the buckles tight enough? Is the child in securely? These are just some of the questions that go through parents minds when loading their precious cargo into the car. September 15-21 is National Child Passenger Safety Week. There will be free car seat safety checks throughout the Nation on September 21. The National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration provide a website to help locate the inspection site closest to you. http://www.nhtsa.gov/Safety/CPS. They also have some tips for keeping your children safe while in the car such as selecting a car seat based on your child's age, height and weight, keeping your child in a car seat for as long as possible and having all children under the age of 13 riding in the backseat. For more information and tips, please visit the website listed above and don't forget to take part in the National Seat Check Saturday! Take care of your precious cargo.
